Yarn Cooling Tubes for Draw Texturing Machines
TSP yarn cooling tubes replace conventional cooling tracks on V profile draw texturing machines. Designed for retrofit installation, they provide a controlled yarn cooling path, support consistent yarn quality and reduce the need for frequent track replacement.
Controlled Yarn Cooling
The yarn follows a controlled helical path around the outside of the tube, with a 180° wrap. This arrangement supports uniform cooling and stable yarn processing.
Ceramic guides at the entry and exit maintain the yarn path, reduce friction and wear, and make incorrect threading less likely.
Key Features and Specifications
Tube Length
Custom built to suit the customer’s machine requirements.
Tube Diameter
44mm.
Surface Finish
Case hardened and precision buffed.
Yarn Guides
Ceramic guides at both the entry and exit.
Yarn Path
Controlled helical path around the tube with a 180° wrap.
Rotatable Design
The tube can be manually rotated when localised wear develops, bringing a fresh surface into use and extending its working life.
Benefits Over Conventional Cooling Tracks
Longer Service Life
The tube can be rotated to present a fresh working surface, helping extend service life. Actual life depends on operating conditions and maintenance.
Lower Maintenance
Rotational use reduces replacement frequency and associated maintenance downtime.
Reliable Threading
The guided yarn path reduces the risk of misthreading and operator errors.
Yarn Contact
The controlled wrap helps prevent the yarn leaving the cooling surface, commonly described as a yarn cool out.
Consistent Yarn Quality
Uniform cooling helps maintain consistent yarn properties as production continues.
Processing Speed
Potential to increase processing speed, subject to the yarn and machine setup.
Installation and Compatibility
The tubes are designed for retrofit installation on V profile draw texturing machines with minimal machine modifications. Tube length and fitting requirements are matched to the existing machine layout.
Manufacturing and Quality
High grade materials, precision finishing and quality control support durability and reliable performance in demanding textile production environments.
Yarn Cooling
Cooling geometry supports heat removal before the yarn reaches the friction unit.
Controlled Yarn Contact
Contact surfaces and guide positions support a consistent yarn path.
Machine Integration
Check available space, mounting and yarn path alignment before conversion.
